Day 17: REGUA Lodge

Home Biota: what is it? Animals Plants Mammals Birds Insects NL EN

For the past nine days, I have been a guest at the REGUA lodge. REGUA is a non-profit organization that purchases land around the Guapiaçu River and (re)forests it. Additionally, they encourage and facilitate research and education. Their primary goal is to guarantee water storage and biodiversity. They own areas ranging from 35 to 2,000 meters in altitude. Today's photos are from a walk around the small lakes on their property.

A small lake has been dug at the REGUA area. We cannot go around it because a section of the park is not suitable for me, according to the guide.
